Women’s Network Lunch

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

I attended the Women’s Network lunch and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The members are a diverse group of women either working for themselves in small businesses or for larger organisations.

As we arrived we mingled with others, looked at the display tables and had a welcome drink. We then moved into the dining room where each of us spoke for roughly 30 seconds on what we do. If you wished you could exchange business cards with someone you’d like to connect with.

I met some very interesting people, listened to an interesting speaker on her start to business and won myself a bottle of wine to top it off. Highly recommended.

A day in the life of an artistic entrepreneur

Friday, September 19th, 2008

There are some days where time ticks slowly as you complete a task you’ve done over and over. There are other days where time moves at lightening speed. I’ve had two of those days just recently.

One minute I realise I’m having a telephone interview, the next I’m agreeing to a very agreeable next step of signing to be part of this entrepreneurial organisation. At least it is very agreeable at the moment. Everyone that’s part of it, say it is and I believe them. I believe because I want to experience what they have and are experiencing. I want that too.

The new deal is that I become part of a personal development program. Learning it and selling it. Although I have yet to experience it, it has some of the essence of “The Secret” about it – I haven’t read this book. However, I know that it exposes some of what Ester and Jerry Hicks present in their books. I love their book “Ask and it is Given”. The concept is simple. This is what I like about the new deal – it is very very simple.

After trying to get somewhere with a number of other entrepreneurial deals, this is very simple. More on that later

Course site launched

Friday, September 5th, 2008

I’ve been busy working on a terrific elearning site (yes, I’m biased). Still much work to do, but the first level is ready and the site has been launched. The site is called Spiritual Awareness Course – take a look to see what it is like.

The course is about developing your intuition which in the process develops your spirituality as well. We are seeing many people needing guidance and many, many people wanting to see psychics for guidance. The course creator Gail Love believes that developing your intuition and learning to trust it is the best thing anyone can do. Rather than seeking guidance from others, we need to learn to follow our own guidance – our own intuition.

The site uses membership software to control access to the learning content materials and these materials come in a variety of forms – flash, text, recordings. Members have access to the forums so they can ask questions about the content which for many can be challenging.

I can recommend the course – I did parts of it before Gail and I teamed up to put the course online. The way you see your life, what has happened to you and why may undergo a shake up when you do the course. This is because we rely upon authority, convention, history and logic to guide and inform us. What if we didn’t do that any longer?
